Economic Club of Indianapolis is Now Economic Club of Indiana

An Indianapolis institution, the Economic Club has served the Circle City for 32 years. Over the years, their monthly programming has featured local and national experts including Milton Friedman,, Irving Kristol, the Wall Street Journal columnist and Public Interest co-editor, and Steve Forbes, former presidential candidate and chairman of the publishing empire that bears his name.

In January they will be making a change - he Economic Club of Indianapolis will become the Economic Club of Indiana. The name change is part of the transition of the program from the Indianapolis Chamber to the Indiana Chamber.

I am glad to see this series has found a new sponsor. I would hate to lose the value it brings..

Upcoming speakers include:

January 9, John Hofmeister, President, Shell Oil America: Alternative Energy

· February 12, Barbara Henry, President and Publisher, The Indianapolis Star: Media and Its Relevance Today
