3rd Annual Fashion Show Luncheon Will Raise Funds for Youth Programs

Government funding allows many children from poor families to attend early childhood and after-school programs. However, many parents who do not qualify for these vouchers still cannot afford quality education and care for their children. AYS, Inc., a not-for-profit agency that operates 45 before- and after-school and early childhood programs in central Indiana, tries to accommodate these families through sliding fee scales and the AYS Financial Assistance Fund.

AYS Prepares for 8th Annual Community Parade

INDIANAPOLIS, IN October 31, 2007) - As the winter months loom ahead, Hoosiers will begin to prepare for the typically unpredictable Indiana weather. But for the last seven years, AYS, Inc. has brought color and life to the drab wintry streets of central Indiana. The local non-profit agency, which operates 45 before- and after-school and early childhood programs in central Indiana, has begun to gear up for the 8th Annual AYS Mardi Gras Mambo Parade. Children from AYS programs, as well as individuals from other community agencies and businesses, will march on Indianapolis’ Mass. Ave. and around Noblesville’s Town Square on February 2, 2008.

Child Safety Expert, Kent McCool to Appear at Carmel Mayor’s Wellness Challenge

Child safety expert, Kent McCool, founder of Home Safe Homes, Inc., will present the topic “Babyproofing Your Home” at the Carmel Mayor’s Wellness Challenge, Thursday, March 1st at 6:30 PM. The presentation, hosted by Babies “R” Us, will be held at Clarian North in the Clarian North Learning Center located at 11700 North Meridian Street, Carmel.

Local Business Encouraged to Support Family of Clark Knight

Many of us read with great sadness the story of Clark Knight, the infant suffering serious injury after being shaken by his day care provider. A medical fund has been established in Clark's name to offset the extensive medical bills. Contributions to this fund may be directed to:
